Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, AZ Tuesday, October 12, 2010 Betty Lucille Brown, 86, formerly of Flagstaff, died in her sleep Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010, in Prescott Valley. She was born June 7, 1924, in Edison, Neb., third of eight to Desi and George White. Mrs. Brown lived her early years and later years in her hometown of Edison. She spent her other years in Oregon, Arizona, Alaska and California. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, researching family genealogy and serving others, but mostly she loved visiting with family and friends. She demonstrated her loving nature to those with whom she came in contact, sharing her sense of humor and devotion to family and friends. Her family and friends will dearly miss her stories and laughter. Mrs. Brown is survived by her two children, Frank Brown (Geralyn) of San Diego and Sue Cote (Robert) of Flagstaff; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be today at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints, 2401 E. Linda Vista Drive, Flagstaff. A graveside service will be at the Oxford Cemetery in Oxford, Neb., Saturday at noon. Condolences can be sent to her family at www.norvelowensmortuary.com.
