Louis A. "Louie" Rougemont, 60, a Flagstaff native, died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2010.
He attended Flagstaff High School, married his high school sweetheart, Beverly J. Bates, and raised two beautiful children while working many different positions within the trucking industry, before retiring as a freight manager and broker.
Mr. Rougemont loved to spend time on the golf course, maintaining his beautiful yards, but most of all treasured the time spent with family and friends. A man of his word, those who were blessed to have known him can trust they will never have a better friend and confidant. He was meticulous about every aspect of his life -- from his yard, to his garage and vehicles, right down to the shine on his boots.
Mr. Rougemont is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Beverly J. Rougemont; children Theresa M. Freas (Eric), and Louis "Justin" Rougemont (Tracy); two grandchildren; siblings Beatrice "Bea" Sedillo (Ralph), Larry J. Rougemont (Frances), and Leonard A. Rougemont; and countless nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose D. Rougemont and Isabel R. Rougemont; brother Fred Rougemont; and in-laws Robert M. Bates and Joan M. Bates.
