SHAW, Robert (Bob) Allen

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ October 12, 2010 Robert ‘Bob' Shaw, 65, of Chandler died of cardiac arrest Sept. 29, 2010, at Mercy Gilbert Hospital in Gilbert. He was born Feb. 21, 1945, Deadwood, SD. Robert served in the Air Force, worked as a PGA golf professional for 25 years at various golf resorts nationally, was a professor of Computer Information Systems at Northland Pioneer College for 17 years. He received AZ Vocational Educator of the Year for Post Secondary Education 2000 and AZ Outstanding Post Secondary Business Educator of the Year 2002. Bob is survived by his wife, Shirley, daughter, Robyn; grandchildren Elayna and Eli; stepdaughter, Traci and stepson, Jason and their children: Megan and Erin. He was preceded in death by his parents. A celebration of life service was held at Crowne Pt. San Marcos Golf Resort Friday, Oct. 8. His family suggests in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation; Special Olympics; or any nonprofit organization of choice.
