STONER, Thomas Edward


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ April 19, 2007 Thomas Edward Stoner, 54, of Show Low died April 13, 2007, in Phoenix following a motorcycle accident in Show Low. Tom was born April 8, 1953, in Stockton, Calif. He moved to Arizona in 1970 but always had a love for many favorite places in California. During his working career, Tom worked at many different locations. At one time he worked for the City of Show Low and enjoyed helping and watching the city grow. He especially loved construction and cooking. He was an excellent cook and always had many wonderful meals prepared for his wife. In the past few years, Tom was forced into early retirement due to health issues but thoroughly enjoyed being a member of the Modified Motorcycles Association (MMA) and loved riding his motorcycle with his wife, Dee. His other interests included fishing, camping and being outdoors. He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Dee Stoner; his father, Robert Stoner of Pinetop; and sister Teresa (Chris) Holladay of Show Low. He is also survived by his children, Thomas Phillip Stoner (Sue) of California, RJ Stoner and Mary Beth Stoner, both of Chandler, as well as eight grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 21, at Calvary Baptist Church in Show Low with Pastor Steven Hair officiating.
