POMPE, Harold (Hal)

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ April 26, 2007 Harold "Hal" Pompe went to be with the Lord and his beloved wife Violet on April 20, 2007. He was born in Johannesburg, Pa., where he went to school at St. Mary's and served as an altar boy at the church. He later graduated from St. Mary's High School. Hal also served in the Korean War. Hal is survived by his beloved K9 companion, Roxie; daughters Nancy Jo Merritt, Kathy (Bill) Wittmann, Michelle (Mike) Johnson, Patti Taylor and Cindy Pompe; brother Gary and sister Dorothy; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Hal was preceded in death by his wife, Violet; brother William and sister Jo. He will be missed by all. The family wishes to thank all his nurses who were so wonderful to him at hospice. In lieu of flowers, Hal requested donations to RTA Hospice, 1675 E. Monument Plaza, Casa Grande, AZ 85222. Owens Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
