Virginia Margaret Hawes LaBrant, 96, of Bigfork, Mont., born Jan. 7, 1914, passed away Oct. 10, 2010, at the Samaritan Prescott Village.
Westcott Funeral Home of Cottonwood and Glaschat Johnson Mortuary of Kalispell, Mont., assisted the family with final arrangements.

Virginia LaBrant 1914 - 2010
Virginia LaBrant, 97, passed away in Prescott, Arizona, on October 10, 2010. She was born on January 7, 1914 in Blackduck, Minnesota, to Emmet and Archabell (Bartlett) Hawes. She moved with her parents to Stanley, North Dakota, as an infant and was the oldest of 13 children.
She married Duane LaBrant in Beldon, North Dakota. In 1947, they moved with their five small children to northwestern Montana, settling near Bigfork, Montana.
She was preceded in death by a son Harlan in 1968, husband Duane in 1971, her parents and 10 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her children, Ardis (Don) Baker, Prescott, Arizona, Floyd (Toni) LaBrant, Corvallis, Montana, Larry (Nancy) LaBrant, Burnet, Texas and Lois (Dale) Lauman, Lakeside, Montana, She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, including Lynette Baker of Prescott and Darron (Erica) Baker of Chino Valley, nine great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, as well as, two sisters.
Private family services will be held Oct. 23 in Kalispell, Montana.
