Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, Arizona Published Tuesday, October 12, 2010 Joan Carolyn Hatch passed away Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010, at her residence at the age of 74. Joan was born Sept. 14, 1936, in Custer City, Okla., to Estil and Minnie (Woods) Lidia. Joan and her husband, Phillip, moved to Lake Havasu City 12 years ago from Walnut, Calif. In Lake Havasu City, they became members of Calvary Baptist Church where Joan sang in the choir, helped with the kid’s ministry, and also helped with the C.R.A. Christian 12-step recovery program. She was also president of the Christian Women’s Organization for five years. Joan is survived by her husband of 54 years, Phillip Hatch; son, David Hatch, of Lake Havasu City; daughter, Debbie Keil and her husband, Robert, of Gilbert, Ariz.; brother, Larry Lidia, of Avila Beach, Calif.; grandchildren, Tara, Traci, Trista, Melissa, Ashley, Destiny, Carol and Brianne; and great-grandchildren, Joshua, Makayla, Ryan and Scotty. Memorial services will take place Saturday, at 2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Chad Garrison offering words of comfort and inspiration. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joan’s name may be made to Hospice of Havasu, P.O Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405.
