The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ March 19, 2007 Iva F. Davis went to be with her heavenly Father Saturday, March 10, 2007, at RTA Hospice. Davis was born Sept. 6, 1922, in Hart County, Ky., the daughter of Pete and Fronnie Thompson Childress. She was reared and attended school in Kentucky. She and James H. Davis were married March 7, 1946. She was a lifelong homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include daughters Loretta (Terry) Crider of Vernon and Jeanette Clayton of Springfield, Ill.; six grandchildren, Tamenia Henning, Jim (Robin) Henning, Crystal Clayton, Coty Clayton, Christopher Homer and Kyle Homer; and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother Arnold. Services were held March 13 in the chapel of Black's Mortuary in Show Low. Burial was in the Lakeside Cemetery.
