Deming (NM) Headlight Tuesday, August 17, 2010 George W. Hollingsworth, 83, a resident of Deming, NM, entered eternal rest on Sunday, August 15, 2010 at his home with his wife at his bedside. George was born on February 18, 1927 in Bellwood, PA, to George Thomas Hollingsworth and Zula Erma Gallaher. George was in the Navy from 1944 to 1946 and then became an electrician. George will be highly missed by family and friends and will always be remembered. He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Duvall; five sons, Geroge Jr and wife Sue Hollingsworth of Mesa, AZ; Brent Hollingsworth of Shreveport, LA; Donald and wife Larita Hollingsworth of Lake City, FL; Thomas and wife Diane Hollingsworth of Layton, UT and Paul and wife Donna Hollingsworth of Black Canyon City, AZ; four daughters, Joyce Jonas of Lordsburg, NM; Karen Pena of Anchorage, AK; Patsy and husband Al Rosendale of Keywest, FL and Judy and husband Al Kopak of Sarasota, FL; one sister, Ruth Gill of Buffalo, NY; two step-sons, Paul and wife Olga Harris of Glendale, CA and Ronald and wife Betty Harris of Austin, TX; two step-daughters, Sandra Everett of Winkleman, AZ and Linda and husband Jim Collins of Mesa, AZ; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three daughters, Dona May, Dora Kay and Beverly Ann; former wife Anna Doloris Hollingsworth and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Thursday, August 19, 2010 from 5-7pm, at Terrazas Funeral Chapels-Father Stanley Hall. The funeral service will be at 10am, on Friday, August 20, 2010 with full military honors at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with Bishop Larry Martin officiating. Pallbearers will be George Hollingsworth Jr, Brent Hollingsworth, Donald Hollingsworth, Thomas Hollingsworth, Jody Jonas, Joe Jonas, Andrew Pena and Robert "Robbie" Hollingsworth.
