Wanda Maxine Tunnell passed away Oct. 8 in Lake Havasu City at the age of 76. She was born to Edwin and LaVina (Olson) Hatch April 2, 1934, in Dodge City, Kan.
Wanda married Billy Tunnell Sept. 6, 1949, and together they made Lake Havasu City their home 33 years ago from Glendora, Calif. She spent her time being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her great-grandchildren were her whole world.
Wanda leaves behind her husband of 61 years, Billy Tunnell; son, Larry Tunnell; two daughters, Linda Armstrong and Joanne Houck; brother, Donald Hatch; sisters, Joan Reily, Yvonne Bateman, Myrna Haynes and Pat Chambers; grandchildren, Larry Jr., Tasha, Mesena, Faith, Jesse, Isaiah, Karie, Logan, Davey, Billy and Kevin; and her great-grandchildren, Dylen, Christian, Christi, Hayden, Blake, Michael, Diego and J.T.
A memorial service will take place Saturday, at 4 p.m. at Grace Assembly of God in Parker, Ariz. Pastor George Rennau will offer words of comfort and inspiration.
