Carmen Maria Gomez-Rundell, 63, of Heber died Friday, March 23, 2007, at her home.
Mrs. Rundell, an accounting clerk for Pacific Gas and Electric in San Francisco, was born April 26, 1943, in El Paso, Texas. She grew up and attended school in El Paso, graduating from Jefferson High School in 1961. Following high school her family moved to Roseville, Calif., and she worked for Wells Fargo. In 1964, she moved to San Francisco and began working for PG&E. In 1968, she met Steven Jay Rundell. They were engaged for 25 years, marrying Oct. 8, 1993. In 2004 they moved to Heber.
Steve preceded her in death July 1, 2006.
Carmen is survived by her mother, Guadalupe R. Gomez of Heber; sisters Domitilia Saucedo of Long Beach, Calif., Eluteria Gonzales of Heber, Mary Porta of Daily City, Calif., Irene Gomez-Alcala of Heber; brothers Ignacio Gomez of North Islands, Calif. and Frank Gomez of Folsum, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Overgaard with the Memorial Rosary at 7 p.m. Monday, April 9.
Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of The Assumption Catholic Church in Overgaard.
