Richard Douglas Drake, 54, died March 30, 2007 at his home in Alpine.
He was born Dec. 11, 1952, in Hornell, New York to Frederick Rozell Drake and Laura Clara Nicholson. Richard served in the United States Navy from 1972-1976 and worked in food service. He loved spending time with his family and friends, playing his guitar and harmonica. He enjoyed listening to music, playing video games, watching NASCAR and going to spring training games. He was always willing to play games with his niece and nephew. Richard's greatest attribute was being very generous to anyone in need. He will truly be missed and always loved.
Richard is survived by his daughters Erica and Laura Pierce of New York; sister Sherry Drake of Alpine; nephews Connor Drake of Alpine; Cole Brown of New York; and niece Courtney Drake of Alpine.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick Drake and Laura Leith; sister Karla Drake and brother Bobby Drake.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
