The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ April 12, 2007 Rebecca Lupe, 33, of Whiteriver, died Friday, April 6, 2007, in Flagstaff. Rebecca was born July 28, 1973, in Whiteriver, the daughter of Nelson and Eva (Cruz) Lupe Sr. She was raised in Whiteriver and attended school at Alchesay. She was in the Kicking Horse Job Corps in Montana for a year. She lived in Utah for eight years before returning to Whiteriver, where she worked at Hon-Dah. She enjoyed crocheting, beadwork and watching movies. She was a nice and giving person even though she was ill. She was a member of the East Fork Lutheran Church. Survivors include her son, Emilio Manni Angelius; her mother, Eva Lupe; brothers, Ronnie (Vera) Lupe, Arnold (Elvina) Lupe, Antone Cruz, Leo Cruz, Jerry Lupe, Everette (Patricia) Lupe, Gary (Beulita) Lupe and Noland Potter; sisters Minda Truesdell, Neysa Aquino, Annette (Edwin) Tenijieth, Arlene (Burton) Natan, Vallery (Chrisantos) Bead, Carmen Lupe; grandchildren Maddox Cash Nez, Carlos Leon Antonio and Kimora Angel Antonio; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A wake will begin at 10 a.m., Thursday, April 12, at the Eva Lupe residence in East Fork. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, April 14, at East Fork Lutheran Church, with Pastor Fidel Dazen officiating. Burial will be at Dove Street Cemetery.
