Lurline Isabel Vincent Flick Wright passed away at her daughter’s home in Hughesville, Maryland on Oct. 10, 2010 at the age of 85.
She was born in Hayden on Nov. 28, 1924. She spent her childhood moving between Hayden, Arizona, Spofford, Texas and Bracketville, Texas.
She graduated from Hayden High School in 1942. She married Calvin Eugene Flick on Feb. 13, 1943. After World War II they returned to Hayden to make it their home and raised their three children: Carol Wright, Jerry Flick and Joyce Morris. Lurline worked for Kennecott Copper Corporation in Hayden from 1957 to 1969.
In 1969 she married Ronald L. Wright and moved to Prescott where she enjoyed raising her two step-children, Rhonda Ball and Kevin Wright. Lurline worked for Yavapai County Treasurer’s office until she retired in 1986. She was an excellent bridge player and an active member of the Eastern Star. She supported her husband, Ronald Wright in the Masons during his term as Grand Master of Arizona. She loved traveling and was proud that she had been in every state including Hawaii and Alaska.
Lurline is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Lottie Vincent; sisters, Evelyn Reese and Mary Brean; brothers, William and Henry Vincent and great-grandson, Kalem.
She is survived by her children, Carol, Jerry and Joyce and two stepchildren, Rhonda and Kevin; 23 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
A service will be held Friday, Oct. 15, at 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church of the Good Shepherd in Kearny with services at the Mountain View Cemetery in Hayden immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to a charity of your choice in Lurline Wright’s name.
