The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona March 2, 2007 12:00 am Virginia Lee Sams died Feb. 24, 2007. Virginia was born July 8, 1924, in Middlebourne, West Va., She was the daughter of Andrew Charles Fox and Audra Mae Summers. She is survived by her sons, John Sherwood (Maggie) of Yuma, Gary Sherwood (Sharon) of St. Johns and Roger (Gwen) Shewwood of St. Johns; 12 grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Kenneth of Oregon, John of West Virginia, and one sister, Alberta (Babe) Colley of West Virginia. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Charles (Bud) and Richard Fox; and one sister, Mary Katherine Fox. Services were held in Eloy with Rev. Joseph R. Morris officiating. Interment was at the Eloy City Cemetery.
