The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ March 2, 2007 Kitty Jean King died Feb. 26, 2007, in Flagstaff. She was born Jan. 21, 1943, in Price, Utah. Kitty and her husband, Gene Paul King, just celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary in February. Together they owned Kings Tack and Horses and organized local team penning at the Taylor Rodeo Grounds. Her interests included painting, yard work, reading, computers, fishing and spending time with her dogs. Kitty is survived by her husban; step-sons, Gene P. King Jr. (Bobby) of Everett, Wash., and Dennis King of Marysville, Wash.; daughters Ivy O'Bryan (Pete) of Bend, Ore., and Candy Stutzman of Snowflake; brothers Lee Rutherford of Helper, Utah, and Jim Pendleton of Price, Utah; sisters Carla Letteer of Snowflake and Evelyn Equinta of Helper, Utah; and 10 grandchildren. Kitty was preceded in death by her mother, June Pendleton, and father, Lowell Pendelton. A memorial service for Kitty was held March 1 at Silver Creek Mortuary in Taylor. Silver Creek Mortuary of Taylor handled the arrangements.
