Joseph "Joe" Anthony Beauchamp, 79, of Keaau, Hawaii, passed away Aug. 12, 2010, at Hilo Medical Center. He was born Aug. 7, 1931,in San Gabriel, Calif.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and then he married and made Palmdale, Calif., his home where he built the family “House on the Hill.”
He was an active member of the Saint Mary’s Parish in Palmdale, where he ran fundraisers, bingo and the Sunday morning pancake breakfast. He also was a member of the Lake Havasu Eagles Club, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post, and Knights of Columbus. He worked as a plumber for 35 years in Palmdale, then in San Diego, Calif.; he retired in 1993 in Lake Havasu City where he enjoyed what he loved most, dancing.
Memorial services will take place in Palmdale, Oct. 19 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Mary's church in Palmdale with a reception in the old hall from 1-3 p.m. Contact daughter, Annette Troffer at 661-272-1816. There will also be a service in Lake Havasu City
Thursday at 5:30 p.m., Lake Havasu City Memorial Tree Service Dick Stamp Memorial Park, 1628 Avalon Ave., followed by dinner and sharing of memories at the VFW 266 London Bridge Road. Contact Michelle Gab 808-982-8974 for more information.

He is survived by his daughters, Suzanne Underwood, of Lancaster Calif., Michelle (Douglas) Gab, of Keaau, Hawaii, Claudette (Bill) Accacian, of Oakland Calif., Annette (Paul) Troffer, of Palmdale, Calif., Barbette Beauchamp, of Palmdale, Calif., Rachael Beauchamp, of San Diego, Calif., Rebecca Griffith, of San Diego, Calif.; sons, Robert Beauchamp, of Lancaster Calif., Laurence (Teresita) Beauchamp, of Long Beach, Calif., Gerard Beauchamp, of Palmdale, Calif.; sister, Barbara Beauchamp, of West Covina, Calif.; brother, Howard Beauchamp, of Phoenix, Ariz.; 26 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Sofia Beauchamp; son, Charles Beauchamp; brothers, Bob Beauchamp and George Beauchamp; sister in-law, Wanda Beauchamp; and son in-law, Jack Hall.
