Evergreen Mortuary & Cemetery, Tucson, Arizona ~ August 19th 2010 Lorne Washington, born January 10, 1980, left to be at home with the Lord on August 17, 2010. He is survived by his mother, Lisa; brother, J.D. (Sammie); sister, Kelli; nieces, Avalee and Paelyn; grandmother, Dorma Castano; uncles, Dan and Jeff; several cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Ron Washington, grandmother, Patricia Madendorp and grandfather, Lloyd Washington. Lorne was a truly brave and determined young man, who every day for 25 years struggled to live with a catastrophic illness. He earned his high school diploma, learned to play and communicate, and was very aware of everything and everyone around him despite his physical limitations. He loved Jesus, his family and friends, anything Star Wars, listening to classical music and books on tape, and hearing stories from the nurses who took care of him every day. A very special thank you to the wonderful people who made his daily life so special. Each one of you is like family to us. Services will be held at Glad Tidings Assembly of God, 600 N. Kolb Road in Tucson, at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 21, 2010 with Rev. J.D. Washington officiating.
