Edward Bryant Garvin died Sunday, March 4, 2007, after a long and valiant battle.
Ed was born in Snowflake Feb. 20, 1951, and is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a church mission in Oklahoma.
He lived in the Show Low area most of his life before moving to Mesa and owned Big Ed's Upholstery and Saw Shop. He was a master at many things and a gifted artist. He carved wood relief eagle plaques for the Boy Scouts in his ward as they received their Eagle Scout awards. He had a gift for making each person he met feel valued and loved, and he was everyone's favorite.
He is survived by his wife, Pam-P.J.; son Bryant (Autumn); and daughters Rhianann and Britni. He also leaves his four adored grandchildren, Andy, Natali, Giovanni and Makenzy; his mom, Louise Garvin, and siblings Wanda (John), Danny (Gail), Sheila (DuWayne) Richard (Nola), Benny (Rose), Anita (Alfredo), and Steven (Stacey). He also has many "borrowed babies" and extended family and friends he loves very much.
A visitation will be held Friday, March 9, from 6-8 p.m. at Meldrum Mortuary in Mesa. Services will be held at the Solomon Building on Broadway and Solomon, Saturday, March 10, at 10 a.m., with a visitation prior to the service.
