Opal Fern Bostwick, 76, of Sun City West, AZ, passed away December 31, 2003 to be with our Heavenly Father. She was one of ten children born to Robert and Elizabeth Fyffe on November 8, 1927 in Scioto Furnace, Ohio.
She courageously fought debilitating rheumatoid arthritis for 47 years. She and her husband Donald moved to Arizona for her health 36 years ago. She was a fulltime homemaker; a loving, caring and faithful wife; a nurturing and dedicated mother. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Sun City West and the Church Sunday School. She enjoyed traveling, camping, and fishing. For many years, she and her husband spent summers at their cabin in Northern Arizona. In her younger days, she was an accomplished musician who played the guitar for friends and family.
She is survived by her husband Donald; two sons, Donald and Thomas; four grandchildren, Donald, Scott, Kelsey, and Julio; brothers Clarence and Herchel and many nieces and nephews.
Opal was always giving of herself and always had time for those in need. Loved by many, she will be missed and cherished by all who knew her, her smile brightened many hearts.
Visitation Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2004 with services Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2004 at Sunland Mortuary, 15826 Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, AZ.
