HARGROVE, Alton E. (Al)

Alton E. "Al" Hargrove, 78, long time resident of Phoenix, AZ passed away January 3, 2004. Born in Graves Country, KY, Al moved to Phoenix in November 1944. 

He worked for Arizona Public Service for 38 years as a Meter Reader and Street Light Patrolman. 

Al is survived by his loving wife Betty; son Roger of Jacksonville, FL; stepdaughter Janice Rogers of Arden, NC; sister Ima Lee WIlson of Phoenix; seven grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and dozens of nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his daughter Ilene, two sisters, Arvena and Dahlia; and four brothers; Rayburn, Darrell, T.C. and Tellus. 

Visitation Tuesday Jan. 6, 2004 at the A.L. Moore Grimshaw Mortuary, 710 W. Bethany Home Rd; followed by a memorial service. Interment will follow at the Greenwood Memorial Lawn Cemetery, 2300 W. Van Buren.
