HOGLUND, Ruth Ellen

Ruth Ellen Hoglund, 87, of Tempe passed away January 3, 2004. Ruth Hoglund was born Ruth Ellen Howe in Topeka, Kansas. She earned her Bachelor's Degree from Kansas State University and was a proud member of her Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Ruth was a friend and loyal participant in water aerobics and with her bridge partners. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed sports. After raising her children in Chicago, she and her husband Garland (deceased) made Tempe their home since 1969. She is survived by her children Joan (Stafford), Richard, Janice (Brenner) and Robert. Ruth is also survived by her 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Visitation January 6th, 2004 at Carr Tenney Mortuary 2621 South Rural Road, Tempe. Services January 7th, 2004 at Tempe First Congregational Church 101 East 6th Street, Tempe. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ruth's name may be made to the First Congregational Church 101 East 6th Street, Tempe 85281. Published in the Arizona Republic on 1/6/2004.
