David Bernard
David Bernard Lipschultz, 33, a Phoenix native, died tragically in a skiing accident in Aspen, Colorado on January 3, 2004.
He is survived by his loving wife Juliana, his mother Marilyn Mitchell (Donn Kessler), father Allen (Susan) Lipschultz, his devoted siblings Jeffrey (Naomi) Lipschultz, Frank (Margarita), Janet and Adam, and his grandmother Inez Lipschultz.
David was a gifted athlete, winning his state high school tennis championship and was named to the national tennis team. He graduated from the University of Arizona and received his graduate degree from Columbia University. He was an accomplished freelance writer for many publications including the New York Times and USA Today. In his 33 years, David experienced life to the fullest, traveling extensively. He was loved by all his friends and family here and throughout the world.
Funeral services Wednesday, January 7th, 2004, in Sinai Mortuary Chapel, 4538 N. 16th Street in Phoenix. Contributions in David's memory can be made to Temple Beth Shalom, 208 Madrona Street, Chula Vista, CA 91910.
