Dorothy Dean Wilson Schulte, 88, of Williams, died Friday, Oct. 15, 2010.
Mrs. Schulte was born April 9, 1922, in Iowa Park, Texas. She lived in Texas, Williams, Ash Fork, Daggett, Calif., Honduras and a myriad of other places. She moved back to Williams in 1969. She was a world traveler and a local friend. She nurtured a family and warmed their home with her cooking. She volunteered and worked with numerous organizations including The Red Hat Society, Epsilon Sigma Alpha Service Organization, Williams Hospital Auxiliary, the ladies group from St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Professional Business Woman's Association. She was named the PBWA Woman of the Year.
Mrs. Schulte is survived by her son Bob (Kathie) Schulte, daughter Elizabeth (William) Blumhart, daughter Mary (Jerry) Nieman, daughter Dorothy (John) Crain, son Peter (Maria) Schulte, son John (Jenny) Schulte, son Martin (Carolyn) Schulte, son Michael (Beckie) Schulte, son Joseph (Susan) Schulte and son Francis (Stephanie) Schulte; 27 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and sister Wanda Jean Marshall.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lillian Wilson; her father, A.G. Wilson; and her husband of 59 years, John "Jack" C. Schulte.
Visitation will be 6 to 7 p.m. today at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 900 W. Grant Ave. A Rosary follows at 7 p.m. Mass will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
