The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ February 9, 2007 Laben Burnette went home to be with the Lord Feb. 5, 2007 in Whiteriver. He was born Sept. 4, 1944 in Whiteriver. He will be dearly missed by all. Laben is survived by his wife, Marie Burnette; mother, Mary Burnette; brother, Hollis Burnette; sisters, Julia Burnette, Eva Watt, Lorraine Endfield, Wanda Burnette, Verlita Beatty; sister-in-laws, Georgina Cromwell, Sherry Harvey, Cyndy Harvey, Brenda Lee, Georgia Harvey; and many relatives and friends. A wake will start at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10 at his residence, 3606 N. Yellow Brick Road No. 11 (Over the Rainbow) in Whiteriver. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 12 at the Eastfork Independent Church in Eastfork, with Pastor June Bush officiating. Interment will be at the Red Hill Side Cemetery in Cedar Creek. Silver Creek Chapel Moartuary of Whiteriver handled the arrangements.
