GUTIERREZ, Cipriana (Ciprie)

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ February 16, 2007 Cipriana "Ciprie" Gutierrez, 74, Springerville, died Feb. 9, 2007 in Peoria. She was born April 10, 1932 in San Marcial, N.M. to Ernesto Hernandez and Camilla Zamora. "Ciprie" was a day care provider for many children in Round Valley. She was an active member in The Seventh Day Adventist Church and served as a Cradle Roll and Kindergarten Teacher. Cipriana is survived by her loving husband, Oney Gutierrez, of Springerville; sons, George (Diane) Gutierrez, of Pinetop; Sam (Katie) Gutierrez, of Springerville; Alfred (Gwen) Gutierrez of Queen Creek; Ray (Kelly) Gutierrez, of Springerville; daughter, Sue (Tom) Strickland of Glendale, 13 grandchildren; and one brother Joe (Lucas) Hernandez of Espinoal, N.M. She was preceded in death by her parents. A funeral service was held Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at 10 a.m. at The Seventh Day Adventist Church in Springerville. Interment followed at the Springerville Cemetery. Burnham Mortuary, Eagar, handled arrangements.
