SILVA, Elaine Helen

(Maiden Name: Matz)

Elaine Helen (Matz) Silva passed away on January 2, 2004 after a 4 1/2 year battle with cancer. Elaine was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 20, 1937. 

She graduated from Central High School in Detroit in 1955. She married in 1959, moved to Arizona in 1970 and raised six lovely and successful children. 

She leaves behind her husband of 44 years, Manny Silva, four daughters, Danielle Wickander, Patricia Silva, Maria Silva, Elizabeth Wolff and two sons, Dr. Robert Silva and Stephen Silva. She also leaves behind two grandsons, Zachary & Spencer Wickander and a granddaughter, Sophia Silva. She will be greatly missed. 

Memorial Services will be held at Brophy Chapel, 4701 N. Central Avenue, on Friday, January 9, 2004. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014. Arrangements by Whitney & Murphy Arcadia Funeral Home (602) 840-5600.
