Marie (Kozak) Kosacz, 96, passed on to her eternal life in heaven Oct. 20, 2010. Marie was born Sept, 21, 1914, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Kozak of Stevens Point, Wis.
Her husband Frank (Sinky) Kozacz preceded her in death in 2000. She is survived by one sister, Stephanie (Jerome) Bachinski of Stevens Point, Wis. Also surviving are her sons, LeRoy (Mary) Kosacz of Austin, Texas, Wayne (Juanell) Kosacz of Denver, Colo; daughter Alexandria (Sandi) Rentz of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and countless nieces, nephews and friends who adopted her as "Mom Kosacz" and/or "Busia."
Besides being preceded in death by her husband and parents, she was preceded by four brothers, Stanley, Michael, Peter and Walter; and three sisters, Julie, Josephine and Sophie. She will be remembered as a loving wife, selfless, godly mother, praying grandmother (Busia) and gracious friend. Her favorite Bible verse was John 3:16-18.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 29, 2010, at Sunrise Funeral Home, 8167 E. Highway 69, Prescott Valley, Ariz.
