Lamont Mortuary of Globe, Globe, Arizona ~ 10/22/2010 Craig Patten (1982 - 2010) Craig Patten, age 28, born March 22, 1982 in Phoenix, AZ to Gregory Patten and Barbara Herman, passed away Oct. 14, 2010 in San Carlos, AZ. He worked as a chef for the Rice School District. Craig is survived by his parents, his daughter McKenzie Shurz, his sons James Patten, Jayla Patten and Chase Shurtz of San Carlos, AZ, his brothers Derrick Patten of Tucson, AZ and Gabriel Patten of Sells, AZ and his sistersTisha Patten, Irna Henry and Valerie Herman of San Carlos, AZ, Michelle Patten of Tucson, AZ and Chantelle Johnson of Phoenix, AZ. The wake will be held Oct. 22 at 4:00 pm at Marlene Stevens' residence followed by the service on Oct. 23 at 9:00 am at Rice School Gym. He was born in Phoenix, Ariz. on March 22, 1982, the son of Gregory Patten and Barbara Herman. Craig worked as a chef for the Rice School District. He attended Sherman Indian High School in Riverside, Calif. He enjoyed being with his family and cooking. Craig is survived by his father, Gregory Patten; his mother, Barbara (Jack) Herman; his children, James G. Patten, Jayla Halo Patten, McKenzie Shurz, and Chase Schurz; his sisters, Tisha R. Patten, Michelle Patten, Irna Henry, Virginia Patten, Valerie M. Herman, and Chantelle M. Johnson; his brothers, Derrick G. Patten and Gabriel Patten. A wake was held on Friday, Oct. 22, 2010 at 4 p.m. at Marlene Stevens Residence in San Carlos, Ariz. Funeral services were held on Saturday, Oct. 23, at Rice School Gym in San Carlos.
