The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Monday, October 25, 2010 Howard W. Cotton, 91, of Chino Valley, Ariz., born Jan. 30, 1919, passed away Oct. 21, 2010. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010 at First Southern Baptist Church in Chino Valley, Ariz. Chino Valley Funeral Home is caring for the family. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, October 26, 2010 Howard Wesley Cotton Howard was born Jan. 30, 1919, in McCook, Neb., to parents Lacy and Mabel (Mathews) Cotton. He passed away on Oct. 21, 2010, after a lengthy illness. Prior to his retirement, he was a long-line truck driver and also enjoyed playing the trumpet with some Big Band-era bands. At the age of 55, he retired due to some health complications. He and his wife moved to Chino Valley, Ariz., in 2005. Howard was warmly referred to as "Mr. Fix-it" by his friends and family. Howard was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Bob Cotton and Whitey Cotton; and sisters Ruth, Alma and Ida. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Barbara Cotton; and numerous stepchildren, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Howard will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
