Anthony Wheeler, 61, of Winslow, died Thursday, Oct. 21, 2010.

Mr. Wheeler was born Dec. 20, 1948, in Gallup, N.M., to Jennie and Byron Wheeler. He graduated from Winslow High School in 1966. He was an honorably discharged U.S. Army veteran and served in Vietnam. He was a good friend to everyone he knew.

Mr. Wheeler is survived by his mother, Jennie, of Winslow; brothers Robert of Williams, and Harold and Chuck (Diane) Wheeler of Winslow; daughters Ariel (David) Robertson and Shayna Patterson of Winslow; and two nieces and a nephew.

He was preceded in death by his father, Byron.

A memorial Mass will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Winslow.
