Ray Lynch, 80, of Flagstaff, died Oct. 13, 2010, at Flagstaff Medical Center.
He was born May 3, 1930. A Celebration of Life service will be Saturday, at 10:30 a.m. at Christ's Church of Flagstaff, 3475 E. Soliere Ave. A potluck luncheon will follow.

Raymond A. Lynch Jr., 80, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010, in Flagstaff.
Mr. Lynch was born in Wilmington, Del., and raised in Wilmington and Salem, N.J. He was a member of the 200th graduating class of the Wilmington Friends School in 1948. A gifted musician and avid outdoorsman, he entertained his friends and family on the piano and shared with others his enjoyment of golfing, hunting, fishing, camping, hiking and boating.
After a full and rewarding career in sales, Mr. Lynch retired in 1990 to Flagstaff, where he built and fulfilled a second career in service to others. He graduated cum laude from Northern Arizona University with a bachelor of science degree in sociology in 1994 and served as a peer advisor in Student Support Services.
His subsequent activities and involvement included serving on the Coconino County Community Action Board, Coconino County Council on Aging, Coconino County Title XX Commission and Northern Arizona Council of Governments. In addition, he was an active volunteer in the Flagstaff Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, a hospice and hospital volunteer at Flagstaff Medical Center and a facilitator for the NAU Four-Corners Science and Math Program for Native American students. He also volunteered at Rainbow Acres (the Southwest's premier Christian community for adults with developmental disabilities) in the Clavinova Connections Music Program.
Mr. Lynch was a member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church and an associate member of Trinity Heights Methodist Church, both in Flagstaff, and a frequent attendee of Flagstaff Friends Meeting. He was an active participant in Stephen Ministries, the Flagstaff Christian Businessmen's Association and an outreach chaplain at the Coconino County Detention Facility in Flagstaff and the Arizona Department of Corrections prison in Winslow. He will be greatly missed by his family who loved him dearly.
A loving and devoted father and friend, and faithful servant of God, he is survived by his children David Lynch of Newport, Del., Gay Lynch of Newark, Del., and Barbara Samson of Glen Mills Pa.; their mother Carolyn Mendenhall of Wilmington; sons-in-law, David May of Newark, Del., and Allan Samson of Glen Mills, Pa.; and three grandchildren.
Mr. Lynch was preceded in death by his parents Dr. Raymond A. Lynch Sr. and Elizabeth Campbell Lynch of Alapocas; and his brother Richard Lynch of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
A memorial service will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Christ's Church on Soliere Avenue. Another service will be Nov. 20 at Gracelawn Memorial Park in Wilmington, Del. Visitation with the family begins at 10:30 a.m. followed by a service at 11 a.m. He touched many, many lives and all are welcomed and encouraged to attend his services.
