Silver Belt Newspaper, Globe, Az. Posted: Wednesday, Oct 27th, 2010 Helen “Teta” Martin Helen “Teta” Martin, born June 24, 1925, formerly Helen G. Gillette, passed away in Mesa, Ariz. on Oct. 21, 2010. “Teta,” as she was known, was born in Globe, married Bill Martin, and moved to Superior (Martin’s Ranch) where she lived a life she loved, riding, ranching, and entertaining family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sterling and Gertrude Gillette; sisters, Blanche Gillette Smyers, Marilyn Gillette Pollard; and brother, Jim Gillette. She is survived by her husband, W.H. “Bill” Martin, Jr. of Superior, and their son, William George (Lynn) Martin; two granddaughters, and many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held Nov. 6, 2010 at the Globe Elks Lodge, 1910 E. Maple St. in Globe at 11 a.m. A lunch will be served from noon to 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.ALZ.org.
