Charlie B. Foxworth, Jr. “Foxy” went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 19, 2010. He was born in Lordsburg, N.M. to Ruthe and Charlie B. Foxworth, Sr. on Nov. 7, 1943. Charlie graduated from Safford High School in 1961 and married the love of his life, Jacquie on Aug. 21, 1965. He was a machinist at Cyprus Rod Plant for 16 years before he retired to full-time papa-ism. Charlie was a lover of the Lord and of life. Charlie was a jack of all trades: machinist, hunter, fisherman, coin collector, writer of poetry, painter and Good Samaritan.
Charlie is survived by his loving wife, Jacquie, of 45 years; his siblings, Marion (Jim) Tenney of Willcox, Robert (Christine) of New Mexico, Nancy Layton of Safford; and Virginia (Raymond) Williamson of Central Heights; his children, Ruthie (Billy) Venturini of Peoria, Jill (Stanley) Fuller of Globe, Michelle (Keith) Foxworth of Peoria, Mary (Justin) Hundley of Wheatfields, Jacquie (Derek) Burns of Glendale, Charlie B. (DeAnn) Foxworth III of Globe, Bonnie (Aaron) Brown of Peoria, and Jack (Michelle) Foxworth of Chandler. Charlie was blessed by 28 grandchildren as well: Eirean, Breanden, Anthony, Anthony, Adam, Bobby, Samantha (Curtis), Cole, Cheyenne, Keith Jr., Tyller, Victoria, Amanda, Jason, Timothy, Nathaniel, Caitlin, Mackenzie, LeAnn, Grace, Charlie IV, Breanna, Amy, Alyssa, Jack Jr., Josh, Cameron, Nicholas, and four great-grandchildren, Andrew, Noah, Balian, Canaan.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Ruthe and Charlie B. Sr., and brother, James. His favorite scripture was John 3:16: For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Charlie was a loving son, husband, daddy, papa, brother, and uncle. His family loves him and misses him very much.
Services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 30 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Methodist Church in Globe; luncheon to follow.
