Opal U. White
(1920 - 2010)
Opal U. White, 90, of Globe, AZ passed away peacefully on October 24, 2010, surrounded by her family. Opal was born May 4, 1920 in Eugene, Oregon. She spent most of her life in Arizona and the majority of that was in the Globe-Miami area. She worked and retired as a secretary from Inspiration Consolidated Copper Company in 1987. Opal was preceded in death by her husband and soul mate, Milo White, whom she sorely missed.
Milo and Opal were very active members of this community, which included participation in the Globe-Miami Chamber of Commerce, Cobre Valley Center for the Arts, BPO Elks Lodge, Community Concert Association, and the Gila County Historical Society, to name a few.
Opal is survived by her children Don Wyatt (Vicky) of Chandler, Dennis Wyatt (Georgia) of Glendale; Terry White of Tucson; Patricia Williams (Ron) of Globe; Nancy Fitzpatrick (Dan) of Ellijay, GA ; Lori Henson of Sierra Vista, 12 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
She was a gracious woman who was loved by her family and friends.
Services will be at 1:00 pm on Sunday November 7, 2010 at the Pinal Mountain Elks Lodge in Globe, AZ.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center Foundation, or the Cobre Valley Center for the Arts.
