Bill Dodson, 86, passed away on Oct. 26, 2010, at his home in Lake Havasu City. He was born on June 19, 1924, in Jarrell, Texas, to Luther and Bertha Dodson.
Bill served his country proudly in the United States Army in the 101st Airborne. He married his wife, Dorothy, on Oct. 12, 1946, in Indiana. Bill was a member of the American Legion, Eagles, Moose Lodge, and the Elks. Bill especially enjoyed spending time at the Elks Lodge, where he had many friends. He had a good sense of humor and would love to tell a good joke and had a zest for life. Bill also enjoyed visiting Las Vegas and traveling the country in his RV and trailer with his late wife, Dorothy.
Bill’s love for life will forever be remembered and he will be deeply missed and always loved.
Bill is survived by his sister, Orabelle Davis; niece, Patsy Lee, both of Austin, Texas; nephews, Richard (Ellen) Davis and Teri (Sharon) Davis; and great-niece, Alex (Chris) Lee Avery. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of more than 50 years, Dorothy Dodson, four brothers, one sister, and his parents.
