Virginia G. Isaac died Dec. 8, 2008, in Everett, Wash. She was born July 6, 1930, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Her life included racing cars in the '50s, taxi driver, electrician, mechanic, realtor, broker, pit bull advocate, pastor, training trick animals for movies, firefighter, heavy equipment operator, painter and writer. A woman of many talents, if she was told she couldn't do it she would.
She owned many businesses such as All About Ribbons in Show Low, Bar V Feeds in Tucson; Melodie's Flower Shop in Benson and Virginia Isaac Realty in Tucson, to name a few.
She was an unbelievably strong and intelligent woman that never let any moss grow under her feet. She was convinced she could do anything and did.
Being a pit bull advocate was her passion. She spent years fighting legislation to ban the breed. Her male Samson was the most titled pit bull of his time. She and Bud Kramer worked hard to introduce agility to the United States. She made agility a recognized class with both UKC and AKC. She constantly traveled with her equipment to introduce people to the sport.
She is survived by her beloved cousin, Irving Womack.
She has passed on her tenacity, passion and courage to her children, Roy Crouch of Oregon, Melodie Hamilton of Arizona and Dale Kuntz of California.
