The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ December 19, 2008 Constance 'Connie' Ann Sanker "If you should forget me for a while, and afterwards remember, do not grieve ... better by far you should forget and smile than that you should remember and be sad." - Christina Georgina Rosetti Daughter, sister and aunt Constance "Connie" Ann Sanker, 51, died Dec. 4, 2008. She was born Oct. 1, 1957. "Connie" or "Countess Ying Yang" was the third child born to Ralph and Rhea Sanker in Phoenix and one of seven siblings. As a baby Connie was the apple of her of father and family's eyes, sweet, precocious and loving in nature. As an adult Connie was a free spirit who loved the outdoors, tropical beaches, running, sketching and animals, especially "Kiko" her kitty. Connie was preceded in death by her mother, Rhea J. Norman. She is survived by her father, Ralph J. Sanker; stepmother Sybil Sanker; sisters Sandra Vote, Donna Meyers, Mary French-Jones, Rose Hilton and Debra Price; brother Jim Reynolds; and many nieces and nephews. A private memorial and burial will be held Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009, at St. Francis Cemetery in Phoenix.
