The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ December 19, 2008 McKinley Cooley, 59, died Dec. 9, 2008, in Cibecue. He was born May 17, 1949, in Cibecue to Charles Cooley and Annie Pahe. McKinley loved his kids and grandkids. He enjoyed watching TV, especially basketball. McKinley loved to hunt, fish, travel, go for joy rides and read the newspaper. He was employed by the White Mountain Apache Tribe at the Cibecue gas station where he was well liked by all. He is survived by his wife, Euphrasia Cooley; daughter McKeyle Cooley; two stepdaughters, Winnefred Danford and Lucia Danford; two stepsons, Raymond Case and Gabriel Case; and three sisters, Lucinda Rope, Marlina Lazalier and Goldie Munoz. A two-day wake started at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, at the family residence in Cibecue. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, at the Cibecue Cottonwood Gym. Burial will be held at the Sunnyside Cemetery in Cibecue under the direction of Owens Livingston Mortuary in Show Low. Owens Livingston Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
