Elizabeth E. Nicolson, 96, longtime resident of Prescott, Ariz., passed away on Oct. 4, 2010.
Elizabeth spent much of her youth in Arizona and Mexico in mining camps with her family. She returned to Arizona later with her husband, Kingsley, where they had their second child, Douglas, in Morenci.
Kingsley, a petroleum engineer, and Elizabeth lived in many different places in the world, including Canada, the Canary Islands, Libya, Nigeria, Iran and Greece before retiring to Prescott in 1975. While in Prescott, Elizabeth volunteered at the Phippen Museum as a docent, and enjoyed art collecting and golf. Soon after Kingsley, passed away on Dec. 21, 1997, Elizabeth moved into Las Fuentes where she stayed until August of 2009 when she moved to the Los Angeles area to be closer to her children.
She is survived by her three children; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
