Elizabeth Craib, 97, of Pinetop, died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008, at RTA Hospice in Lakeside. Elizabeth was born March 12, 1911, in Detroit, Mich., the daughter of James and Mary (Dinnen) Stewart.
She was raised and attended school in Detroit, where she worked as a retail clerk. She was married to Samuel Craib in Detroit. He preceded her in death in January, 1967.
She lived in the Detroit area until coming to Pinetop in 2002. She was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Mary (Richard) Moote of Michigan and Barbara (George) Kinkelaar of Pinetop; grandchildren Ric (Cheryl) Moote, Dan Moote, Paul (Stacey) Moote and Marc (Gretchen) Moote, all of Michigan, Tim (Michelle) Williams of Pinetop, Beth (Curtis) Plumb of Holbrook, Lori McCombs of Pinetop, Scott (Dina) Kinkelaar and Melissa Romea of Tucson; 22 great grandchildren; and special close family friend, Father Bill Day.
A rosary will be recited Saturday, Dec. 20, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church in Pinetop, with Mass of Christian burial following at noon. Fathers Bill Day and Dan Daley will officiate.
