The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ December 19, 2008 John Joe Manuel Martinez entered into rest Dec. 14, 2008, in Cibecue. He was born Feb. 27, 1970, in Los Angeles, Calif. He will be dearly missed by all but never forgotten. John is survived by his father, Jerry Martinez; mother Gloria Martinez; brother Eric Martinez; nieces Angela and Alexis; maternal grandmother Ruth Johnson; grandpa Buck Patterson; uncles Joseph Aranda, Ivan Friday, Hickson Pina, PeeWee Pina, Otis Pina, Harvey Pina and Melvis Pina; and many cousins, relatives and friends. A wake is scheduled for 9 a.m.. Sunday, Dec. 21, at his residence, 1007 Cooley Road, in Cibecue. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 22, at the Cottonwood Gym in Cibecue with Rev. Kino Kane officiating. Interment will be at the Sunnyside Cemetery in Cibecue. Silver Creek Chapel Mortuary of Whiteriver handled the arrangements.
