Lawrence "Larry" Bralliar passed away Monday, Oct. 25 in his home in Phoenix after a long, courageous battle with leukemia. He was the son of Dr. Floyd and Marcella Bralliar and was born in Phoenix, on Oct. 8, 1940.
His father, Dr. Bralliar, was a renowned physician serving the Wickenburg Community for 50 years (1935-1985).
Larry was raised in Wickenburg and graduated from Wickenburg High School in 1958. He worked for Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) as a surveyor before serving two years in the Army. He attended Arizona State University, studying computer science, then worked for many years at Air Research/Honeywell before retiring in 2003.
Larry enjoyed playing cards and watching football. He also enjoyed working on and restoring antique cars. Larry was an avid fisherman. His sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.
Larry is survived by his wife Carol of Wickenburg; daughter Shawn Russell (John) of Stockton, Calif.; and brothers John (Bea) of Lomita, Calif.; and Dr. Thomas (Joanne) of Shaker Heights, Ohio. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley. There will be a celebration of life on Saturday (Nov. 6) at Charlie's Steak House in Wickenburg from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
