David Pres, 78, who moved here in 1972 from Chicago and had been a manufacturer of venetian blinds, died Oct. 1, 1979, in Doctors Hospital.  

Mr. Pres, 1809 E. McKinley, is survived by a sister and a brother.  Private arrangements were made at Camelback Sunset Chapel.
