The Record and Herald News (Bergen Co. NJ) Friday, November 5, 2010 Amelia A. DiSciascio, 87, of Courtland Place, Greenville, Rhode Island, formerly of Attleboro, MA and Dumont, NJ, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2010 in Sturdy Memorial Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore A "Sal" DiSciascio. Born, and raised, in Cliffside, New Jersey, on January 10, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Amedeo and Anna (Maione) Molaro. She lived in Dumont for 20 years before moving to Attleboro in 1973. Amelia was a homemaker for many years, and a great Italian cook. She enjoyed crocheting, especially baby blankets for her great-grandchildren, as well as for donation; she was a voracious reader, especially enjoying mystery novels. She was a communicant of St Mark's Church in Attleboro Falls. She loved her children and grandchildren, and was admired and loved by all who knew her. Amelia is survivied by two sons: Salvatore J. DiSciascio of New Bern, North Carolina, and Richard J DiSciascio and his wife Bernadette of Budd Lake, New Jersey; three daughters: Joan A DiSciascio of Brooklyn, New York, Valerie A. DiSciascio and her husband Lawrence Driscoll of Wickenburg, Arizona, and MaryAnn D. Partington and her husband David of Smithfield, Rhode Island; two sisters, Alba DeSimone and her husband Amidio (Chap) of Westwood, New Jersey, and Anna Schaarschuch of Clifton, New Jersey; she was the sister of the late Gennaro Molaro. Also survived by eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, November 5, 2010 from 5-8pm in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro. A funeral will be conducted on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 9am from the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Bural at 10am in St Mark's Church, 105 Stanley Street, Attleboro Falls. Mrs. DiSciascio will be laid to rest beside her late husband Salvatore in St John's Cemetery, West Street, Attleboro.
