Bertha L. Wright
Bertha left her worldly body on Nov. 2, 2010, at Good Samaritan Society. She will now be reunited with her husband and two sons in heaven.
Bertha was born on Oct. 16, 1917. She came from a family of seven (three boys and four girls). When she and her brother George were young, they tap-danced for five years. That was one of her fondest childhood memories. Bertha retired from Yavapai Community Hospital in 1982 as the Director of Housekeeping and Grounds. She had held that position from 1972 to 1982.
She was married to James C. Wright on Nov. 9, 1935. They had five children, James, Carol Jean, George, Dennie and Debbie. She has nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Some of her favorite things included reading books, listening to Western music, and doing jigsaw puzzles. Bertha felt her greatest accomplishment in her life was raising her children, then having a successful career later in life to become the Director of Housekeeping for Yavapai Community Hospital.
Bertha's funeral will be in Greenville, Calif., on Nov. 12, 2010. Thank you so much to the kind and loving staff at Good Samaritan Society for all the love and support they gave to Bertha and her family.
