BALKIN, Dorothy

Dorothy Balkin passed away January 4, 2004. She was born in Rochester, New York on August 4, 1913. Dorothy was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Dorothy was a loving wife and mother, she had a wonderful sense of humor and was noted for her cooking. She enjoyed bridge and loved to travel. Dorothy was active in the Sharon Haddasa Organization. Dorothy's father, Louis Weiss, purchased Robeson Rochester Corp in 1939 which became the world's largest manufacturer of automatic coffee perculators, he also had purchased Robeson Cutlery at that time. Dorothy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Linda. For the past six years Dorothy had loving and supreme care living at the Sun Valley Adult Care Home run by Rodica Nicula.
