Helen Joyce Bartlett, 56, passed away January 5, 2004 at home with her loved ones next to her.
She was born in Highland Park, Ill. on April 11, 1947, daughter of Raymond James and Mary Elizabeth Bartlett. She moved to Scottsdale, AZ., in 1986 and was owner of Choice Cleaners.
Helen was preceded in death by her father, mother and brother, Walter Wilde Bartlett. She is survived by her daughter, Erica Lynn, and husband, Adam Mims; grandson, Tyler Fleming; granddaughter, Kate Sarah Mims; sister, Susan and husband Doug Chomeau; nephews, Brian Blake and wife, Tanya, St. Louis, MO., Michael and Sean Blake, Santa Barbara, CA., David Blake, W. Hollywood, CA.; aunt, Erma Berti, Bevier, MO; niece, Robin Rotella, husband Joe and children, Tony and Gina; niece Brooke Bartlett, Wisconsin; nephew, Bryan Bartlett and sister-in-law, Sally Bartlett, Libertyville, ILL. Helen was a descendant of Josiah Bartlett, signer of The Declaration of Independence.
Helen was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and niece. The memory of her kindness, generosity and humor will be forever carried by all who loved her. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 9, 2004 at 7:00 P.M. at Messinger Pinnacle Peak Mortuary, 8555 E. Pinnacle Peak Rd., Scottsdale, AZ 85255. The family suggests contributions to the Arizona Humane Society, 9226 N. 13th Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85021 or an animal shelter of your choice.
