OLIVA, Roni M.


Kingman Daily Miner, Kingman, AZ Sunday, November 07, 2010 Roni M. Oliva was lifted into the hands of God on Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010, with his beloved wife Barbara at this side. He was born Sept. 10, 1942, on Tumon Dededo, Guam, to Blandina and Honofre Oliva, who preceded him in death. Roni was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and received the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and held the rank of SSG while stationed at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico while building bombs for the military. He attended University of Guam and New Mexico State University, attaining a degree in Marketing and Management as well as Electrical Engineering Technician. Besides his wife Barbara, additional survivors include brothers, Honofre Jr. and Rory; sisters, Maray, Cerria, Patti and Pam. He is also survived by his children, Sheila, Tracy, Sherrelle, Celeste, TaMyra, Misty, Charley and Jason. He also leaves 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A private celebration of Roni's life will be held.
