Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, AZ Tuesday, November 09, 2010 Dr. Joseph Roland Troxler, 89, of Flagstaff, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010, in Scottsdale. Dr. Troxler was born Nov. 17, 1920, in Reserve, La. He was a retired professor from the NAU Department of Engineering. He was a member of Living Christ Community Church. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Dr. Troxler is survived by his daughter, Wendy Bales (David) of Carrolton, Texas; sons Kirk (Lorinda) of Beaver, Pa., Wayne (Jane) of Brandenton, Fla., and Keith (Beth) of Scottsdale; sisters Theresa Blackledge (Dick) of Coronado, Calif.; 18 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Aileen (Kit) Troxler. Services will be scheduled at a later date. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to NAU Foundation, Joe and Kit Troxler Scholarship Fund. Messinger Mortuary is handling arrangements.
